One Piece Episode 963 English Subbed: Title: Oden’s Determination! Whitebeard’s Test!

Kozuki Oden's dreams to leave Wano lead him directly to Whitebeard after he learns of the pirate's arrival. After some short battling Oden begs Whitebeard to be allowed the chance to join his crew, to which Whitebeard denies due to concerns about Oden's character. Whitebeard's crew leave at night to avoid Oden's advances but he catches up anyway, attaching a chain to the ship and riding with Izo through the ocean. Marco the Phoenix saves Izo and brings him onto the Moby Dick where he is tied up. Whitebeard tells Oden that if he holds on for three days. He can join the crew.

Three days have passed and Oden only has an hour left before he can join the crew. However, after hearing the screams of Amatsuki Toki Oden fails the challenge, letting go of the chain to save her life.

One Piece Episode 962 English Subbed: Title: Changing Destiny! The Whitebeard Pirates Cast Ashore!

Additional scenes concerning Oden and his confrontation with the bandits in Kuri. Oden and Ashura exchange some words before the battle begins. After blowing away a small group of bandits, Oden clashes swords with Ashura. Oden uses an Oden Nitoryu move to defeat Ashura. Right after Kawamatsu finds Inuarashi and Nekomamushi at Kuri Beach, a villager sneaks up from behind him and knocks him out. When saving Kawamatsu, Inuarashi, and Nekomamushi, Oden throws the giant fish he caught at the oppressors. After Nekomamushi spilled the oden pot, Kin'emon was going to lash out at him. The flashback scene of Inuarashi and Nekomamushi traveling the sea on a small boat is not shown. When Oden visits the Flower Capital, the stitched-up Mountain God is not seen.

The Mountain God continues its rampage in the Flower Capital until Oden confronts and defeats it. After this incident, Oden was expelled from the capital. Due to their admiration for Oden, Kin'emon and Denjiro decide to follow him.

After staying with Shimotsuki Yasuie for a time, Oden decides to travel to Kuri. Along the way, Oden is also joined by Izo, Kikunojo, Kanjuro, and Raizo. Oden eventually arrives at Kuri and prepares to fight the bandits there.
